PrintPass terms
These terms cover your PrintPass subscription. Every order you place with your PrintPass credit is also covered by the Printlogik Terms and Conditions, which deal with artwork, proofing, production, delivery, quality and claims. Where the two say different things about the subscription itself, these terms apply.
By setting up a Direct Debit for a PrintPass plan you agree to these terms. To keep a copy, print this page.
The short version
- You pay a fixed amount by Direct Debit and we add the same amount to your Printlogik account as credit every month.
- Credit you do not use rolls over, and each month's credit lasts three months.
- Starter has no minimum term after the first month. Growth and Partner have a three-month minimum.
- Change your mind in the first 30 days and, if you have not ordered, your first monthly payment is refunded.
- Credit is for print with us. It cannot be turned back into cash.
- PrintPass is for businesses and organisations, not consumers.
1. Who PrintPass is for
PrintPass is a service from Printlogik Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). It is for business customers only: companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities and other organisations. By subscribing you confirm that you are buying for your business or organisation and not as a consumer, that you are at least 18, and that you have authority to commit that business or organisation to these terms.
One subscription per business, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
2. How your subscription starts
You choose a plan and set up a Direct Debit through GoCardless, our payment provider. Your subscription starts on the day your Direct Debit is set up. We may decline a subscription, in which case we cancel the Direct Debit and take no payment.
We aim to open your account on printlogik.co.uk, or link your existing one, within 48 hours, with your first month's credit and your member prices already on it. We will email you when it is ready.
3. Plans and prices
| Plan | Paid monthly | Paid yearly | Credit added each month | Member discount | Minimum term |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | £59 a month | £649 a year | £59 | 5% | None after the first month |
| Growth | £155 a month | £1,705 a year | £155 | 7.5% | Three months |
| Partner | £419 a month | £4,609 a year | £419 | 10% | Three months |
There is no VAT to add to these prices (see section 6). A yearly plan is one payment for twelve months; the credit is still added month by month.
Enterprise plans, for businesses that print more than Partner covers, are agreed in writing and follow these terms unless that agreement says otherwise.
4. Your credit
What it is. Each month we add store credit to your Printlogik account equal to your plan's monthly price. The first month's credit is added when your account is opened, and each later month's on or shortly after your payment date.
What it buys. Any product on printlogik.co.uk, and any print we quote for you. Credit is taken off at checkout and covers the price of the order, its VAT and any delivery charge. If an order comes to more than your credit, you pay the difference at checkout at your member prices.
Rollover and expiry. Credit you do not use carries forward. Each month's credit expires three months after it was added, and we always use your oldest credit first. Expired credit is not refunded, extended or put back.
It is not cash. Credit cannot be exchanged for money, earns no interest, cannot be moved to another account or business, and cannot be sold. It is only refunded where section 9 says so. It is store credit with Printlogik Ltd and can only be spent with us; it is not held in a separate or protected account.
Your balance. Email hello@printlogik.co.uk at any time and we will tell you your balance, what has rolled over and when it expires.
5. Member prices
While your subscription is active, your plan's member discount is applied to your account and comes off the shop price of everything you order, whether your credit covers it or not.
Shop prices on printlogik.co.uk can change at any time, so your credit buys at the price shown on the day you order. The member discount cannot be combined with any other discount or promotional code unless we say so. A charity account keeps its Printlogik charity discount instead of the member discount; the two are not added together. The member discount ends when your subscription ends.
6. VAT
Your subscription payment buys store credit that can be spent on products with different VAT rates, so it is treated as a multi-purpose voucher and no VAT is charged on the payment. VAT is charged when you order, at the rate for each product, and is taken from your credit along with the price. You receive a VAT invoice for every order.
If the law or HMRC requires us to treat VAT differently, we will do so and tell you before it affects a payment.
7. Payment
Payments are collected by Direct Debit through GoCardless and are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. Your first payment is usually collected about a week after you set up the Direct Debit, and later payments on the same date each month, or each year on a yearly plan. A yearly plan renews for another year on its anniversary unless you have cancelled it. You will be given at least three working days' notice of any change to the amount or date of a payment.
If a payment fails. We may try to collect it again. No new credit is added until it has been collected. If it is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, we may cancel your subscription. Any payments you owe for a minimum term are still due, and the late payment section of the Printlogik Terms and Conditions applies to them.
If you cancel your Direct Debit with your bank without telling us, we treat that as you cancelling your subscription under section 9.
8. Minimum terms and changing plan
Starter has no minimum term after its first month. Growth and Partner have a minimum term of three months from the day your subscription starts. A yearly plan is paid for twelve months in advance.
Moving up. You can move to a bigger plan at any time. The new price and credit apply from your next payment, and moving up to Growth or Partner starts a new three-month minimum term from that payment.
Moving down. You can move to a smaller plan from your next payment, once any minimum term on your current plan is complete.
9. Cancelling and refunds
To cancel, email hello@printlogik.co.uk.
In your first 30 days. Tell us within 30 days of the day your subscription started and we cancel it straight away, with nothing more to pay.
- Monthly plan, no credit spent: we refund your first payment in full.
- Monthly plan, some credit spent: what you have had printed is yours, the payment is not refunded, and unused credit is not paid back.
- Yearly plan: we refund the yearly price less one-twelfth for each month that has started.
After your first 30 days.
- Starter, paid monthly: cancel at any time with 30 days' notice.
- Growth and Partner, paid monthly: cancel with 30 days' notice. The subscription ends at the end of that notice or the end of the three-month minimum term, whichever is later.
- Any yearly plan: the plan runs to the end of the year you have paid for and your credit keeps arriving each month until then. Nothing is refunded. Tell us before your renewal date and it will not renew.
Payments that fall due during a notice period are collected, and the credit for them is added, as normal.
Leaving a minimum term early. If a Growth or Partner subscription ends before its three-month minimum is complete, other than under the 30-day rule above, the remaining payments for those three months become due and we will invoice them. The credit for those months is added once they are paid.
After you cancel. Credit already on your account stays there and can be spent until it expires, three months after it was added. After that it is gone and is not refunded.
Nothing in this section affects your rights under the Direct Debit Guarantee.
10. Founding members
The prices and member discounts in section 3 are founding terms for the first 100 PrintPass subscribers, counted in the order their Direct Debits were set up. A founding member keeps their plan's founding price and member discount for as long as their subscription continues without a break, including when they move to another plan and when a yearly plan renews.
Founding terms end if the subscription ends. Anyone who rejoins later does so on the terms offered on that day.
Once the founding places have gone, Starter, Growth and Partner cost £79, £199 and £549 a month (£869, £2,189 and £6,039 a year), with credit equal to the monthly price and member discounts of 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%. The number of places left shown on our website is updated as people join.
11. Free business cards
New Growth and Partner subscribers receive 500 business cards free with their first order. New Growth and Partner subscribers only, one per business. 500 business cards on 350gsm art board with a silk finish, printed on both sides, with square corners and no lamination, in one design from your own artwork, carrying a small Printlogik imprint. They are sent with your first order paid from your PrintPass credit, once your first Direct Debit payment has been collected. Not exchangeable for credit or cash. Because they come with an order paid from your credit, the first-month refund no longer applies once they are sent. We may change or end this offer at any time; that never affects anyone who has already joined.
12. Artwork and service included with your plan
Every plan. A person checks every file before it prints and tells you if something will not print well. You remain responsible for proofing and signing off your artwork, as the Printlogik Terms and Conditions explain.
Artwork amendments. Growth includes one artwork amendment a month and Partner three, with the file preparation needed to make your artwork ready to print. An amendment is a change to artwork you already have: new dates, prices, names or contact details, or a swapped image or logo. Amendments you do not use do not carry over to the next month. Further amendments are charged at our standard rate, from £15 an item.
Design, on Partner. Partner includes one simple design in each three-month period: a single item, such as a business card, flyer or leaflet, made from your own text and logo, with up to two rounds of changes. Further changes and multi-page design, such as brochures, booklets and menus, are quoted separately. A design you do not use does not carry over.
Priority handling. On Growth and Partner your jobs are checked and sent to production ahead of standard orders. Production times are those of the service you choose at checkout.
Print manager. Partner includes a named contact at Printlogik and a review of your print with them each quarter.
13. Changes to your plan and to PrintPass
Section 10 protects a founding member's price and discount. Otherwise, we may change a plan's price, credit, discount or what it includes by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect, and no further minimum-term payments will be due.
If we withdraw PrintPass altogether we will give you at least 30 days' notice. Credit on your account stays usable until it expires, and on a yearly plan we refund one-twelfth of the yearly price for each month that has not started.
14. When we may suspend or end your subscription
We may suspend or end your subscription if a payment is not made (section 7), if you break these terms, the Printlogik Terms and Conditions or our Acceptable Usage Policy, or if PrintPass is being misused, for example by opening more than one subscription to obtain an offer more than once, or by reselling credit. Credit or offers obtained by misuse may be removed.
15. Our liability
The liability section of the Printlogik Terms and Conditions applies to PrintPass. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with your subscription, as distinct from any order, is limited to the subscription payments you made in the twelve months before the claim arose.
16. General
Changes to these terms. We may revise these terms. We will tell you by email before a change applies to you, and will treat it as accepted unless you tell us otherwise within 7 working days. A change that reduces what your plan gives you is handled under section 13.
Your information. We use your details as described in our Privacy Policy. GoCardless processes your bank details; we do not see or store them.
Complaints. Email support@printlogik.co.uk. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 10 working days. If you remain unhappy, ask for the matter to be reviewed by a director.
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
